       @grammargirl I’ve been consciously making the switch to “y’all” for several years. I was a “you guys” person but it’s been pointed out to me that guys is not gender neutral so I’m trying to be more inclusive.

       @grammargirl I will use ampersands when I have a “this & that” situation in a longer list ie “researched, ordered parts, and conducted preventative & corrective maintenance”. I’m not sure if that is proper usage but sentences with multiple instances of and look weird.

       @grammargirl I deleted my post because I misunderstood the concept. I wear headphones with the noise canceling on but nothing actually playing sometimes to help block out noise pollution.
