       I think the bell that tolls has tolled for me finally. I had a work event this week in another state that involved plane travel and unmasked engagement. The inevitable reveal that some people at the workshop had Covid has now happened and now I'm just waiting to find out if I'm somehow spared again or if it finally got me.What gets me is the near-total disregard for Covid almost everywhere. In the airport, on planes, in work places. I wanted to wear a mask this week at the workshop but with literally not one other person masking I felt I had to go unmasked for certain cultural reasons. As usual, Covid is less stressful than people's indifference to Covid. Nobody should feel as though it's normal to get an illness like this or that it's weird and unusual for you to want to avoid it. But that's where we are.#CovidIsNotOver

       I remember when they were clearly moving towards casting a female Doctor. I was dead against it. I didn't want a female Doctor and didn't see why we couldn't just have a strong female Timelord in the TARDIS instead as a companion or ally. But then a whole parade of misogynists and juvenile fan boys showed up to freak out about the idea and I changed my mind about it. Because nothing helps to crystallise whether your opinion is worth anything than seeing who agrees with you.I think this is generally good advice. If you express an opinion on something, look for who agrees with you. If it's some of the worst people alive, your opinion is wrong.

       The whole Ivermectin thing seems to exist in a parallel universe where pharmaceutical companies aren't dying to rebrand widely available generic, fully approved drugs for new uses so they can mark up the price.If Ivermectin worked, it'd be called Coronaflex 5000 and available cheap at 100 times the cost by now
