The Bible is Truth, it teaches a lot of science thousands of years before it's time and has many fulfilled prophecies.Catholics only open the Bible to justify their pride and hatred, I agree. However they were also the biggest opponents to the Bible. Men were burnt at the stake for owning a Bible or affirming the teachings in it. Tens of millions of Christians were martyred by the Catholic church, which tried to lock up the Bible in language none can read.

None of those support a works salvation. Again, Christ preached the commandments and hellfire because they are the schoolmaster that brings us to Christ. The rich ruler was a covetous man, his wealth wasn't keeping him from heaven, his love for it was. For contrast we have Zacchaeus (Luke 19:2)

They are literally pagan, they worship a pantheon of saints, with Christ being just one of them, his role in salvation even usurped by Mary (there's a "queen of heaven" in the Bible, it's Baal's wife).The Bible however says we have only one Mediator.

Where does it say in the Bible that It contains 66 books? Cryptically on the Menorah. Where does it say the Epistle of Jude is inspired? Nowhere. The Bible is applicable to all of life's problems but it doesn't have a verse for each one, it's a living Text, the same way we can know the KJV is His preserved Word in English, by applying verses on scriptural infallibility. Likewise it is written that his Word is truth and are pure words, therefore anything contrary to them is not true.>removed booksThe Jews were tasked with preserving the Old Testament and they never regarded the apocryphal books (which were written in their day) as scripture. Throughout His ministry on earth He quoted from many books of the Bible, but never the apocrypha. The instances of "quotes" are either from the OT or incredibly vague. Writings of church fathers were never claimed to be inspired.

Those books were never in the Bible, neither could they be because they are not flawless (Wisdom 3:14, 9:18, Tobit 4:1-13, 6:7-8, 12:9 are all heretical, Judith 1:1 is not historical).The Jews did not regard them as scripture, they have the same 39 books they did from Christ's day (Romans 3:2). By that standard, Catholics 'took out' 3 Maccabees, 4 Maccabees, 1 Esdras, Psalm 151, and Prayer of Manasseh, which were also in the "septuagint".

For me another important thing in the OT was being reminded that sometimes even prophets fall short, but that God can still use it for His ends (Jacob's deceit being a good example)The Old Testament also has great teachings, Proverbs in particular. This was a good reminder to spend more time in it myself.
