       @argv_minus_one @rk @prettygood As I Understand It (poorly)They re-mapped it to all be in /dev/sdX after the SATA drivers in the kernel just kind of took over from IDE as the primary &quot;type of hard disk&quot; likely to be encountered. I think somewhere in the 2.6 kernel series? That&#39;s also why the old driver has &quot;DEPRECATED&quot; everywhere
