The AI art issue is increasingly frustrating and alarming. I'm genuinely scared of the possibility of E-Luddites making copyright law worse just to preserve their jerbs. If learning from or memorizing other's artwork is IP theft by law, then we're headed for a cyberpunk dystopia when mind-reading/brain chip tech becomes standard. Imagine your brain getting copyright-striked because you had the Bionicle Dream.

I have a theory that technological advancement will cause a cultural shift "backwards" instead of "forwards", for better or worse. Some examples:- AI art will devalue porn, propaganda and other forms of utilitarian "art" (ie. art as a means to a material end) and kill those industries, since people can now easily generate those things infinitely for free. This would leave traditional/transcendent artwork as the only kind of art one can make money from.- People will stop watching/reading/listening to news media and rely more on irl people for information, since all digital media can easily be faked by AI or similar tech. (They could also possibly resort to old-fashioned hard-to-reproduce analog media)- Miniaturized production technology (3d printers, compact food growing, etc.) will make it much more convenient and efficient to produce things on your own (or locally) instead of depending on outside sources like stores, corporations, markets, etc. (I imagine markets will still exist for certain things though, like services and raw materials, possibly energy and maybe repairs.)- High abundance/pleasure + low effort/pain = a split society(s). One part will consist of groups of transcendentally-minded Autarchs (self-governors) who still live irl for the sake of fulfilling divine purpose, forming a sort of "libertarian theocracy". On the other hand, there will likely be techno-feudal hives of degenerate human vegetables renting out their brain power and/or bodies to a ruling class in exchange for "unlimited" pleasure and resources (like the original plan for the Matrix films, but more "voluntary" - at first).- Weird new variations of old economic arrangements will return, especially if currently scarce resources like gold are no longer scarce (this can happen if fusion tech gets good enough, or deep space mining happens). Land is one thing which will maintain scarcity, more or less, and so people will need a way to acquire it. Some people will opt to become neo-serfs like above, selling themselves for space to live in. Other communities may practice georgism, mutualism, neo-jubilees or some other system in line with the Lockean proviso. Another thing that could happen is the rise of a sort of neoplutocracy, in which a currency is based on voting rights - the more dollars you have, the more votes you have. A land-based currency system would have elements of all the previously-noted systems, with one dollar entitling you to use a certain amount of land, probably depending on the type and quality of land. Either way, land will likely return to being the center of economies.

Addenda 1:- Now that I think of it, there will definitely be two different responses to this tech by different groups (You can consider this a TL;DR for above):One group, the Autarchs, will move towards localism, self-sufficiency, and self-defense. Micro-industrial tech will help them localize production, while the AI tech will force them to localize law, media production, art, etc. since it's easier to confirm if a politician, artist, or event is real when it's all happening within walking/driving distance.The other group, the Neoserfs, will cry out for centralization and "authority" to solve the problems caused by tech. They will most likely recreate something similar to the old theocratic feudal/monarchical states of the past, probably with a thin veneer of "science" and "reason" as a fig leaf for their new orthodoxy. Philosopher Kings with their associated lords and priests (technocrats) will gladly provide them with their expert "truth" standards, and set up new digital ID systems "to protect from AI trickery".
