All those claiming OTA for cars is easy need to read this article. As well as the clowns crowing about ace it is that Google Automotive is being implemented and getting its tentacles deeper into the car’s gubbings. I may stop laughing in about a month. VW apparently are going to fire a lot of senior people from CARIAD. That company has NO CLUE what it is doing. You know what always results in top quality software, especially safety critical software? 1) a board of directors that understands what it takes to make such. 2) no stupid and crazy time pressures imposed by idiots. 3) a culture where you are not in fear of your job because of silly promises made by people who have NO CLUE what it take to make quality software.

What is actually gratifying, is that we on the @motoringpodcast have been saying this is a car crash in the waiting for AGES. Nice to see the rest of the press catching up. But, helps to know what one is talking about, hence we get ahead of the motoring press because they have previously, been only focused on cars - understandably. However, sorry to break it to them all, they have to now picot and learn about tech.

@SecurityWriter I still don’t understand why any company wants to nuke its productivity by staff having to take more time to check and fix whatever is spouted out.Or worse, the company and employees DON’T check and those mistakes filter into their work/products/services.
