Everyone on KF is saying he's going to get killed, and I'm not saying that's not completely impossible because it definitely is, but it was funny going there in November after everyone I talked to being extremely weary and warning me to be safe and in the end I didn't even get a scratch on me. Probably because I stayed in the right areas and didn't get out of my car in dodgy areas unless it was absolutely necessary.

It was legitimately very surprising that spider man in the comics didn't shoot webs out of his arms and it was the Raimi Spider-Man movies that came up with that idea. You would think that would be something a comic book in the 60s would come up with, moreso than him making a device that shoots webs.

From what I've read online, in the comics he would make his webshooters, so despite how the new movies and games have him as this tech geek making gadgets and people like me whose only exposure was to the Raimi trilogy thinking that it seemed like an attempt to modernise Spider-Man, they're actually faithful to the original comics. I think the comics briefly adopted the organic web shooting, for a few years but eventually reverted back to Peter making his web shooters.

There should be a scientific study to see if media has actually been getting shittier as time has gone on or if it's just nostalgia. Get a control group of kids completely alienated from all media; go to Africa and pay the warlord there $10,000 to show capeshit and old cartoons to the local village, see if they think Futurama is better than Rick and Morty or why the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy mogs the MCU and can articulate why that's the case.
