@pete @nvk what about transferring into a separate entity? I hate to see this go. We need to have a place where people can talk. Yes, there are going to be complications and problems but on the net I think they will be overall a net gain for everyone. Many of us jumped Twitter and are hoping for a raft to continue the community.Before you shutdown the instance, please consider allowing it to persist independently.

@pete @Clashicly @nvk this would actually be a great use case for LN. The payments can fund the maintenance of the instance. I’m definitely down for paying to help support the community discussion. Would best set it up as a 501.3(c) if creating a US entity.A crazier option would be to set it up in an independent legal jurisdiction, e.g. the “citadel” I helped start in Honduras, Ciudad de Orquídeas.

I’m shifting to Google as my ISP, $80/mo compared to Comcast’s $330/mo for symmetric 1Gb.Bc I don’t trust Google (really Comcast for that matter) I’m setting up a server to route search email and general over Tor, a VPN for my other devices, and for streaming straight over plain Jane https where Google can see that I’m watching Netflix (might get a VPN service for that just to segregate traffic completely from Google).Has anyone done this? I’d appreciate feedback on the concept if possible.

@kekcoin @verretor yes, and historically fascism was national socialism. It aligned well with the American progressives (e.g. FDR and many policies were directly copied) communists (international socialists) and fascists despised each other. They differed only in how the state should control the means of production.Antifa is fascist, just like anti-racism is racist. Cracks me up to see all of this go down with no historical context!

@servant_of_the_anime_avatars @kekcoin @verretor it is hard to pin down antifa their policy platform is more of thuggery at this moment. My suspicion is that the anarchism portion would coalesce more around fascism if CHOP is to serve as a limited example.

@servant_of_the_anime_avatars @kekcoin @verretor No the economics came first. von Mises in “Socialism” makes this explicit. The anarcho aspect is more of a rebellion against an existing structure. Once that structure is removed a new structure emerges that is a function of the underlying philosophy. As others have pointed out the fascists weren’t socialists in name only but were focused on a different methodology of the implementation of the state’s control of the means of production.
