@RustyCrab I am incredibly jealous of the Japanese because generally, every native, Japanese speaker they meet online is within driving distance. English speakers could be on any part of the planet. As the dissident right has continued to explode in size, I've had a good few people in my life begin to adopt DR views. It's great to see, but it's also disheartening to hear from these (for lack of better term) normies and their struggles in political arguments.I've had multiple friends and family express frustration about how getting into a spat with somebody and failing to properly explain their views. I've never figured myself to be anything more than intellectually average, so it's been strange to so often hear these friends say "I wish you were there at that time, you're so good at explaining this stuff." I suppose it's just because I'm autistically obsessed with the subject, so I have a lot of experience in articulating DR views.What's struck me the most about my normie, DR friends is that they don't really retain the details of the DR things they watch/ read. They'll hear something competently explained and it creates a strong emotion within them. That emotion remains, but the exact reasons for why they felt it become lost.This is why quick, punchy phrases are so useful. The left has a bunch of these ("Trans lives are human lives.", "Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of consequences.", "Decent human being.") The only times my normie friends manage to successfully change somebody's mind is when they use such a line ("Import the third world, become the third world.", "Whites are only 10% of the global population", "That happened to you? Was the guy who did it brown?", "They just hate you/ Whites").
