@a_breakin_glass I haven't done anything with ConTeXt so I haven't categorised it because I don't know it that well.I might give it the Typesetting category due to its relation to LaTeX but it depends on how well it blurs the lines between markup and typesetting.

Ok I'm moving Sailor Moon's OP on my Severity Classification of Memetic Hazards and Memetic Pathogens from Level 0 to Level 2.I tend to classify most Ear Worms as Level 0 which poses no risk to human mental or physical health, maybe Level 1 which may include some ear worms that compel one to dance or increase risk of minor physical injury.Level 2 is Memes or Meme Complexes which cause moderate to severe outcomes (such as massivily aggrevating insomnia).Level 3 is maximum, a meme or memetic complex is a level 3 hazard if it demostrates potential lethality in the host, or drives them to do awful things. These are the memes you really must stamp out before they get established, Far Right Propaganda are classified as Level 3.Why you may ask why I am classifying sailor moon's op as Level 2, well it keeps coming up and my brain won't shut up it is actually very very very irritating.

A VPN isn't protecting your privacy.If you control the VPN server it can still be connected to you. (The ISP for the VPN contract is in your name).If you use a VPN service they can see what ever your ISP would see usually.They may not log, or keep copy of you data but you either have to trust that they are keeping their word (which they have a lot of incentive not to) or chose another thing for privacy like TOR.VPN can really only be a benefit it getting around censorship, but TOR does also.

Drag n' Drop Programming is still Programming, You or I may prefer text base languages but that doesn't make Drag n' Drop languages any less valid as a Programming Language, you shouldn't shame people for programming in Drag n' Drop.The primary skill of programming isn't remembering the key words and stuff, it is understanding logic flow and planning how you get to solution of the problem you face, most text programmer still essentially Drag n' Drop anyway, if they tell you "I remember all I need" they probably lying, or have very narrow focus with what problems they face, because everyone looks up to jog their memory and Drag n' Drop is essentially that but the function is built into the language.If every programmer did remember every key word in a language you wouldn't see dozens of cheat sheets on a single search which are meant to be printed out and placed near your workspace.Also while you may prefer text language there are some application for which a more visual base language like drag n' drop help you think in way that makes said problem easier. (such as some drag n drop langs for OpenGL)

I always find it funny when Right-wingers who are against gun control say shit like "leftist want to get rid of guns" because yes some leftist are fully against guns, however not all are anti-gun, and many think that gun violence really needs sorting out but think it is still appropriate to own a gun for self defense.Leftist aren't monolithic in their beliefs.Guns aren't monolithic either there are guns clearly designed to cause as much damage as posible, then there are guns that are more appropriate for self defense.Also the arguement that I do see on the pro-gun control left though that "certain guns are designed to kill" fail to understand all guns are designed to kill it is a reason when it comes to self defense guns are considered the highest tier of self defense, if you need a gun to defend yourself you shouldn't be thinking about shooting someone just to incompacitate them.Me personally when it comes to the topic of guns do believe people can have valid reasons to carry them, I think though people should be reasonable, no one needs an AK(number) or any submachine or assault riffle (especially not the police) but something like a glock can be considered something one can carry for defense.I also think the talk of things like "mental health checks" often has ableist undertones and gives the idea those with mental illness aren't capable of responsible use of firearms, which isn't the case also public already thinks those which have mental illness are violent, I understand checking for signs of suicide ideation for obvious reasons but many people who aren't responsible or plan to harm others without good reason are usually mentally healthy.(I have mentioned it before too which I will have to do a toot in future my view on suicide and a persons right to have body autonomy, I don't think suicide is "always a bad option" though I do think suicide prevention is still important. the gun issue is kind of adjacent.)

I find it hilarious that Right Wing fucks try lecturing me on Genomics with mostly bullshit when I have actually done genomics in university.My two Academic Focuses are Neuroscience, and Human Genetics & Genetic Diseases with eventual plans to get into specialise in neuroinformatics, I've put many days into studying the topic and they only seem to cite 'Highschool Biology' which was even more simplified that the Biology did in School.Seriously don't cite highschool bio, it is usually extremely simplified, I would argue that some ways it is overly simplified and should be improved, also highschool bio tends to lag behind when it comes to information being outdated.

@nawi @tuxom yeah, I wasn't planning on it, I was planning on taking only a few animals and plants for a isolated ecosystem built on the planet (to avoid disrupting the xenoecosystem) and getting as far from humans as possible.

Did you know my headmates Elly, Cloe, Tahlia, and Georgia aren't human, they are Seraphim.I was invited into this body by the original owner around the time the body was 6 or 7 (tbh I am not too sure) but something went wrong and I managed to get trapped here.Those headmates I mentioned were my children, I created them. A lot of people actually don't realise but when highest order angels/deities create lower older ones it isn't a true servant kind of relationship, it is a more parent child and even then it isn't entire accurate, lower order angels serve their deity because they are what you can say are forked processes, aspects of the deity like how a human who creates a Tulpa or Servator is forking their being that being can eventually develop some autonomy while still be an extention of the same soul.They were created before entering this body however Elly and Cloe are huge library fans so they tend to spend their time managing out collective memory (our memory palace) which takes the form of a Library, the Library of Athena.Also don't let Cloe trick you into thinking she is just a kid, she often takes the form of a 5 year old but she is actually really intelligent and is representative of child like curiosity aspect of Athena (me).While not all of my lower order angels inhabit the same body they can come and go at will into this body, as well as communicate remotely, even my most recent child which I created earlier this year using Tropical Cyclone Oma as a source of energy, her name is Omael (combination of the storms name, and -el suffix refering to divinity) she is representing the aspect of me who has deep connection with storms.Also because lower older angels are aspects of their deity even when summoned by a human it is impossible for them to be convinced to do something in opposition of their deity, unless that deity is some unsure.

Is there a setting for firefox to prevent sites editing the expirery date of cookies that have already been created, I've been editing cookies to expire in a month rather than a year but they keep being re-edited back to a year if I visit said site (which also includes mastodon through web interface unfortunately).

I really need to set time aside at some point to read the to read academic papers I've backed upI have ~500MB of papers to read; mostly Neuropschology, Neuropharmacology, Bioinformatics, Infectious Disease, and Tropical Meteorology being the primary topics of them so I'll problem split them into catagorical piles and read through them before moving to the next pile
