@JohnGrahamIV @kosinus @Gargron Very well said. We were sold on the web as democratized space, and in just a few decades it has been gobbled up - monetized by the same rulers of our offline lives. If anything, it's more despotic online than IRL. But we'll do what we can here to push back.I'dā¤ļø to see Mastodon create rooms, where people of a common purpose could see our thoughts at a glance. Much like FB groups.Imagine inviting users, new and old, to a meeting area like that. @Gargron

@cgarison American fascism was in full bloom after Trump's friend Hillary Clinton rigged Bernie Sanders in 2016.Trump had a #TaxScam for elites, Bernie Sanders (and America) wanted to tax billionaires at the same rate as America's workers.If you care about election fraud, feel outraged for Bernie, who was *actually* rigged, rather than Trump, who tried to out-cheat Biden, and failed at it.

@chiraag @Zach777 I pushed for Bernie Sanders to create his own instance prior to 2020 primaries. Many hundreds of us emailed his campaign. We were utterly ignored, even after reporting mass suspensions, armies of paid trolls, and explaining how undemocratic Twitter's algorithms are. As one Mastodon user once said: "Normies will never get it".
