Not sure if it's due to being new-ish here, differences between follower demographics on various sites, or just that jokes are a more common and expected part of other social media (like Twitter) in general, but finding how frequently the very obviously exaggerated little jokey things I post are taken seriously or at face value here compared to other sites sucks the fun out of it, a little. How do I make silly little posts on here without people staging an intervention

Apparently finding it slightly frustrating that absurd, jokey posts are frequently taken seriously and asking for advice about preventing it means I am simply offended because I'm not particularly funny, which is ridiculous because I'm not trying to be funny on here, I'm trying to find and seduce a wealthy oil baron, steal his diamonds after his mysterious death, and flee to Patagonia before the local moustachioed detective starts asking questions

Saw someone talking about AI image generator prompt inputters now having access to the "prestige" of artists, by prestige I presume they mean people you barely know looking at you with a mixture of mild concern and pity when they ask if you're "still at the drawing"
