       @Catelli it’s a form of FOMO. I’m emotionally close to a lot of people over there, even ones I’ve only met a couple of times or not at all. I’m invested in their lives. You can’t interact with people for a decade and then just leave without some trepidation.

       @Ricardus someone on Reddit did the math. There are apparently 16 holodecks on a galaxy class ship. With about 1000 crew, everyone should get about 8 hours per month for their own use. And of course people frequently share their time with others.
