@futurebird You've touched on one of the more pernicious aspects of LLMs, and that's lack of sourcing. With an expert, you can look at their education, their writings, their sources, and make a judgement about trustworthiness. LLMs don't cite sources for anything. You have no idea what they've been trained on, and sometimes they can't even replicate their own results. It's impossible to create any sort of trust or reputation outside of "trust me bro".

@futurebird Absolutely. Plus a similar set of red flags feeds my block list here. Hell, there was one respondent to this thread that hit that threshold (after decades of toxic social media my bar is low).One big green flag is the ability to admit mistakes and make corrections.

@artemis Especially when concern about death and suffering in this world is irrelevant compared to a promised afterlife. IMO that's one of the most insidiously dangerous parts of many religions.

@futurebird I don't think there's a judge in the US that wants to deal with sending a former president to prison, and all the weird issues that raises. I fully expect minimal consequences, because that's how our system works for (allegedly) rich white men.

@futurebird Nothing from these folks makes any sense if you have a shred of critical thinking. But it lets the cult read all kinds of nefariousness into it. Manchurian candidate? Recordings of weird sex acts held over Walz's head as leverage? They probably bathed in baby blood in the honeymoon suite!This is what we're dealing with. It's all goofy and deeply stupid but it gets these folks fired up because they are goofy and deeply stupid people.
