@matt @IceWolf @feditips To be fair, apple built translation into iOS and I think macos on specified macs. They can even translate text from a photo. That’s what I have been doing to translate. But I would prefer a foss transltior service even if the results are less accurate.

@apps what’s the benefit of exporting as flac? Is it just to save the recording with no loss, so the user can choose to lower the quality on their own? Or is there some other reason?

@strypey I prefer the series from the 90s to TOS, but it being one of the few trek things I have not watched yet has me motivated to start. I’ve watched most of season 1 and it is a bit tough to binge. I’m not sure why, but it starts to getting a little boring after a few episodes.

@pavot I had it synced to my nextcloud server, but it went down and I am not sure why. It is in another country and I was hoping to put them on google for the time being.😂 Other than nextcloud, can you recommend a service? I do not think google support caldav.

@pavot It is tough losing my nextcloud server. I have not been happy with any commercial alternatives. I might just use the website for the calendar until I can get the server back up and running.

So, how does one get into dungeons and dragons? I’ve been interested forever, but I don’t really have any friends who are interest and or have any experience. Print or ebooks? I see physical books as something to focus on, get lost in, disconnect with, and even conquer. It is so rewarding pinching a book and seeing how much you have read. I can’t do any of these things with an ebook. It is too distracting, and doesn’t command peace the same way a physical book does.#ebook #books #reading

I am wildly impressed with my fiancee's M1 Macbook Air. we bought it just a week or two ago, now I want one. I have heard claims that memory is handled differently and 8gb goes a lot further than it did with Intel processors. As I am on a bit of a budget, I wonder how true this is. I would rather get the larger ssd over more ram. I am leaning towards 8gb as it will just be for work so Microsoft office and zoom.#Apple #mac #macos

@kev Thanks! Your message just saved me about $200. It seems that we have a similar work load. Also, with the speed of an SSD I do not really think I would notice any paging out since it is mostly just office tasks.

@nicemicro Thanks, this looks good. It seems to be maintained as it has m1 mac support information on their app page. I think this is the perfect thing. It is a shame you cant do a google search to find it. Every website I looked at was trying to sell a subscription based expense tracker. 🤦
