@Alex1488 @mushroom_soup he isnt a real advice purveyor, he provides deliberately provocative takes from a cartoonish alpha male perspective that indian men who cant fuck find compelling. He employs some sort of chinese propaganda style content farm to increase mentions of his name on the algorithm so it seems as though he is mor legitimate than me giving you advice on a tin pot fediverse node, but ultimately his advice is not.

Anyway aside from that, egalitarianism is ill defined. The classes are different and separate but there must be a balance, and in the post modern state they must all have a say in governance.

If you were to present the economic situation of america to someone they would be predicting imminent collapse for decades, but the lizard people in charge have some how keep it going. My interest in socialism is more cultural and historical than purely economic. You need to have social harmony to maintain society, and for this to happen you need to have equitable relations between the classes. When you financialize the economy to an extreme degree you bloat the urban tax eaters, who begin to make decisions detrimental to other people living in the state.

He grows wealthy in the exchange of financial instruments, he purchases and conglomerates small farms into large holdings, pressing out cottagers or restricting their access, they switch to growing nutrient dense crop that thrives in marginal soil, blight takes hold from overworking those plots with no rotation. I grow potatos and can attest from personal experience that one can produce a great deal of calories in a small space. Potatos also keep well in a cellar and are easy to consume, no miller is required.
