       @simon but what about abstraction? I'm not convinced AI assistants understand how to create layers of abstraction that make larger programs easy to understand, change, and test.

       @zeh @selea @edsuom I used Ubuntu for many years. It's fine to install the first time, but things often got borked during upgrades, even just to the next version… not fun. Important to keep your own stuff on a separate partition, so you can reinstall if necessary.

       @simon The problem is people taking it literally. Yeah, AI is a field of computer science. But it's being marketed as a product. And it's being hyped as if it's now an achieved reality, instead of just software that mimics human conversation, art, etc.
