@DeveloperMemes It means you've defied biology somehow and need to start your own religion. Hope you're charismatic enough to inspire the next prophet.

@Rasp explains why my heeler loves to try and lick my legs or arms after I put lotion on. I guess she thinks it's gravy for the course.

@Moon Oh yeah. Back before ad-blockers were very good at all and heaven forbid you accidentally click the wrong thing on a search engine. Was terrible and my mom freaked out and wondered what I was doing. Thankfully I explained the accident and somehow we cut the internet off, cleared the browser history and a few other things. We'd just gotten internet recently, too, so we were still learning a lot.

@comrade_lecter guess they figured they could slip in with all the newbies and nobody would notice. Sheesh.I thought kids all knew that whatever you put on the internet is gonna be out there for ages (especially if being passed around). Especially teens, but I guess they don't care that this might haunt 'em 10 years from now or when they go on a job search. (shaking head). How desperate for attention can some people possibly be?

@tek I'm checking my coffee to make sure I didn't accidentally drop anything in there other than cream and sugar... because I was confused to see "Ticketmaster." Sheesh, I am so out of the loop I didn't even realize they were STILL around!

@Rasp started growing mine out again Nov 10th (covering mess w/ scarves or beanies, depending on weather. I'm experimenting to see how long the mess will really grow at my age without messing with it at least a year or so. If it doesn't get worse I'll keep going.Otherwise, I'll shave the mess off again. Just costs too much to keep evening it out, dyeing the gray (be happier if I woke up with it all gray, rip the bandaid off). If it gets <2 ft long, I'll make it black w/ purple & green streaks.

@killyourfm Best of luck to ya. I'm on the same path. I HAVE to turn things around this year, learn new skills, find new job opportunities everywhere I can, and figure out what I can do fto make my small corner of the 'verse a little better... for me. And others, but for me most, because nobody else is gonna do it and I can't set myself on fire to keep others warm (as they say on Reddit) forever.Self-care is my health plan this year (financial, dietary, exercise-wise). Has to be.Hugs.

@vriska The struggle is real. I'm finally getting tired and need to get up early (not shut it off and then forget for a couple hours like the past few weeks--stupid cold weather). Got a chest freezer FINALLY coming for delivery and they gave me the window of arrival as somewhere "between 7 am and 7 pm".(sigh).Have fun. Read a comic or a good book and doze. I'm about to partake myself. Snooze well.

@anornymorse Haven't seen the show, so I guess he's not in there. But considering how annoyed people are by this show (seeing a LOTTA hate online), might as well up the annoyance factor and have it be SCRAPPY DOO instead.

@icedquinn Specialize in clients in divorce cases who were cheated on by their spouses. You guys can get a reputation for the "fire and brimstone scorched-earth" package," complete with hackers and PI's at your beck and call to nail the cheaters to the wall, so that before they step foot in the courtroom, they're already waving the flag of defeat and pay out the nose.Obviously, I've been reading too many "surviving infidelity" reddit stories... can't help it--a good comeuppance is just 😙👌

@MostlyHarmless Depending how long they've been married, how often it had happened before, how dirty things habitually are before and after... could be justified?

@angusm @LordEdam @VoxofGod @Sassinake @pluralistic I wonder if a dump-truck full of sand emptied out over the wreck would do the trick, or make it worse.Man, it's times like this that I wish I'd been better at chemistry. I used to give tours on a WW2 ship and we'd talk about the 5" deck guns and the phosphorous rounds. Hit the target and shower it all in white-hot sparks that catch everything on fire, & water just spread it around worse. Yikes.

I was cleaning bird bowls in the sink when I heard a thud and the cat scrambling around on the floor, and some more thuds. I jokingly asked Twix if she caught a mouse or something....close enough.#catsofmastodon #mightyhunter #sillypets

@futurebirdYou can have fun with "The Brick Bible" in classrooms... with the LEGOs and all, it'd definitely get picked up and looked at. Bonus is the pics and stories could lead to some awkward questions at home about what's actually IN the bible mommy and daddy keep on the shelf or table (hee hee).

@lowqualityfacts That wouldn't surprise me, honestly. Joyce's book, though super thin, did NOT grab me at all. It was one of the few discount classics I bought that I gave up reading after 50 pages. I just couldn't get into it.It also seems to be like the condensed version of what he would write later, the book "Ulysses." SO glad I decided I'd never buy that doorstop. I love to read, but had to finally admit there are many "classic" books I will just NEVER understand the appeal of.

@sterophonick When my dad passed, we didn't have a service, but a loose gathering where folks could drop in and leave if they had work or say a few words at the mic. He wasn't religious (indifferent to it at best) and I was agnostic, so getting some preacher who never met him to try and say a few words about him in a service was just not happening. Some of his work buddies from back in the day (and even some who barely knew him) were there using the funeral as an excuse to skip work (he would've approved because it was hot as hell in July and he'd climbed phone poles and dug ditches in that same heat for decades--hee hee).I just had them put The Dark Side of the Moon album on in the background on repeat til it was over, his fave album. Some solemnity & crying but the mood lightened over time. It was better than other funerals I'd been to that were so strict & solemn. Guess it was more of a memorial than a true funeral, but it worked out fine. He wasn't sentimental, anyway.
