       @TedUnderwood The latest 'AI' is basically an Algorithm that uses a search engine programmed to couch answers in a form that appears to be creative writing. It searches already written sources (or a database of those) and recasts them to pretend to answer the question posed. The laws in place in Australia and having second reading in Canadas Senate that force platforms like FB & Google pay a fee to use 3rd part URLS could apply to this latest version of "AI".

       @lauren @DavidM_yeg And people in our free market system pay to have their DNA analyzed,stored in a database and the information sold to those who will pay. No foreign government needs to develop or use spyware. All they have to do is pay social media providers.

       Interestingly, this call of "Parental Rights"  by people in Canada uses a Right that does not exist. In Canada as a signatory to the UN charter on the rights of children, parents are responsible for the safety and development of their children. It's the children who have the rights - to a safe and nurturing environment: at home, in school and in the community.
