@Acer Usually a mix of luck, scientific theories and trial and error. They don’t find the whole setup at once, they find parts of it and then wonder what can be done with the results.

Yesterday I saw a post on #Threads from a journalist wondering how to do their job without #Twitter. Even to the point they wondered how work was possible without trending topics to look at.And that’s kinda alarming to be honest. This gets even scarier when you realise that Twitter has between half and a quarter of each country’s population at the most, and only a tiny percent of those use it regularly or post about trending topics.So much of the time stories that affect like 1% of the population are turned into major events, and small amounts of people arguing are treated like there’s a major debate going on.

Just a quick tip for anyone making games, drawing art, writing books, or doing any other form of creative work…Don’t just post about your stuff in artist/creator focused spaces, since other artists and creators are not your audience.Just putting it out there, since a lot of people end up only promoting their work to other creators, then wondering why they’re not doing so well…#gamedev #art

So, what the hell is going on in the US anyway? On a related note, seeing some responses to the #Twitter controversy confirmed my suspicions that most people have no political principles whatsoever.Just like Trump supporters and conservatives are happy to justify anything so long as it’s pro Trump/anti leftists, lots of left wingers seem happy to do the same thing except against Trump/Musk/right wingers.All that talk of morality rings very hollow for most people sadly.#politics

@mullvadnet how many times will they keep pushing this crap before people have enough and tell them to stop? We know full well that you can’t have secure encryption that only allows ‘lawful’ access, and that any attempts to weaken existing systems will just make things worse.Sorry, at least you guys understand what’s up and fight for privacy and online rights.
