@keith @mushroom_soup Same tbh. Playing Animal Crossing Pocket Camp led me to find out about Japan's burgeoning "RV/Camper" scene. That and HGTV shows about tiny homes. Would be fun to even just rent one for a weekend.

@mushroom_soup Feel like whether or not you got vaccinated also played a factor in this poll. Also WHEN you got COVID matters as well, since certain strains were more virulent & deadly earlier into 2020 & 2021 then later. Almost too many variables to count.

@mushroom_soup Just saw this last night as it happens. It's weirdly more emotionally charged than the original, which isn't necessarily bad, but not nearly as lighthearted as the original. I'd probably recommend sticking to the Eddie Murphy one.

@graf Originally the meme was that he was pure evil and that everyone in the town was under his thumb. But over time he's mellowed out, possibly because the original fanbase grew up and realized a home loan with 0% APR & no minimum monthly payment was a pretty sweet deal.There was also a brief bit of backstory introduced in the DS one, Wild World. Talk to him enough and eventually Tom Nook reveals that he was once childhood friends with Sable Able, one of the two sisters that run the tailor shop. It's hinted at that perhaps they could have been sweethearts, but Tom moved to the big city to make a name for himself, and the spark of their romance went out. Timmy & Tommy are not Tom's kids, but his nephews. And there's one conversation where he talks about having a business partner that might have betrayed him in the past, possibly Crazy Redd?
