@lowqualityfacts I disagree wholeheartedly with this person. Fascism is real and a real concern, but this is not it. We cannot lose our sense of humor in all this trauma. After all laughter is the best medicine.

@sundogplanets one of the things I miss most about my time in the Navy is being at sea. At times we were 1,000 miles from land in any direction and with the ship going dark at dusk (no white lights topside) there was zero light pollution. You could see way more stars than normally seen in a city, or even out in the country. I had no idea there were THAT many stars out there.

@grammargirl Brilliant! That's much better than my idea of a solid concrete wall that would spring out of the road in front of cars that speed. I mean their car would likely get damaged and they might get injured, but I bet they wouldn't speed again. Nor would anyone who witnessed it.

@futurebird too late to vote but I work with the homeless/uninsured so I know lots of folks through work that are on Snap. I have family members that use it. My mom used food stamps and government housing when I was young.
