@kravietz If they are using the phrase ‘near London’, they mean outer London, somewhere like Windsor. The Royal Mews is too close. Does he know which unit they refer too?

@kravietz Guesswork is fun! Going back to ‘near London’, that could mean ‘near to the City of London’. If that’s the case then the suggestion above of Hyde Park is the best option. It was known as Kensington Barracks until 1970 ish.
