@Tutanota You do know that Epsilon exists? The intelligence services can snoop into your physical mail, listen into your phonecalls and follow you wherever they want via street cameras. The government knows where you go, what you do, who you meet, who your friends are, what you buy etc.I'm really, really surprised I was not invited to an interview about one of the US terror bombers. I was in college at the same time as the Iranian student who was murdered to provide the bomber with a fake ID

@fcktheworld587 Junk phonecalls, junk mail, junk email... It all has a cost in both electricity and manpower and in the case of physical junkmail many other costs too.

@fcktheworld587 It seems a little ironical - using the company's own anti-spam filters against it. I do the same with my work emails. They swamp me with emails that are utterly valueless.

@fcktheworld587 I was surprised when I ripped apart a malfunctioning Temu USB charger to find it had a fuse soldered to the circuitboard. It seems that these solder-on fuses are fairly common. The problem is they will protect the circuit but then require somebody that knows how to spot them and how to use a soldering iron to fix the problem. Since nobody fixes electronics it's pointless and that could lead to them not being on boards.

@fcktheworld587 @WorkingFamilies The big problem is that people have been conditioned to eat expensive convenience food.People need to go back to basics. Dried beans and pulses, grains and veggies are usually not that costly. Cooking them in a $10 saucepan over a $20 butane cooker with a $3 butane can that will last many weeks is the way forward.

@gerrymcgovern People forget. Both Meta and X are fronts. They are not the actual product.Meta and X both collect personal data. Metal flogs that data to whoever wants it - for a fee. X is a bit more secretive with their use of the data.Social media like that is not for the user. That's a trap for simple people. Social media like that is for the companies to sell to make a profit and they have suckered the simple into providing that information.

@futurebird Fortunately when I left highschool in 83 we didn't have "social" garbage. The last 3 days at the end of term were usually a waste of everybody's time with "entertainment" that bored me to death. I can only laugh at people playing Bingo once. Being made to play it was Hell on earth.

@fcktheworld587 if I could, I would put some on infinite loop on a spare laptop and leave it with the volume off for a few days. Just to cost the spamvertiser money.

In Britain I remember the absolute best sexual scandals used to come from the Conservative party. From politicians found dead in ladies underwear to politicians being found in the wrong bed and spending taxpayers money on "fact finding" missions to cross-dressing brothels in Brazil.I wonder whether the US Republicans are so anti trans and so on because that's also what they are into? Inquiring minds demand answers!

@ins0mniak lol. Nobody has realized the explosion of alternate genders is a warning message that society is going wrong but not for the reasons you think.
