Yes 100%If gold hadn’t failed or been corrupted, Bitcoin wouldn’t have been successful.

I’ve just discovered Beef heart makes a damn good curry if you mix in a little muscle meat with it. 80% beef hear + 20% beef muscle. The beef heart has a very “hearty” flavour & maintains it’s physical structure. It’s about half the price of the cheapest beef I can find.I’ve never liked grilled beef heart beyond a couple of bites.I’ve eaten out maybe 3 times in the last 12 months!

@NunyaBidness It is the exact reason why we are here. Values are subjective.

Yeah - ironic isn’t it?I find it more ironic that they can’t see the irony because their diet makes it difficult for them to follow logic.

My kids have never been to school. Always homeschooled. Both teenagers now. Neither have been disadvantaged, bullied, depressed, lonely, ostracised, etc. My wife had to take a traditional role as a mother/educator. That was hard on our combined income, but is easier now that I work from home 100% and they’re older.Biggest benefit is that we are a very close family and we have control over their experiences and influences. They socialise with kids of various ages & backgrounds.

@bitcoinpasada yeah - good point!Gold is complicated to enter/exit. Everyone needs to be on the gold standard for it to work. You need to trust the centralised Gold custodians too.Bitcoin is quick & easy to enter/exit. Anyone can adopt it & still use fiat to purchase things. “What would it seem like if it did seem like a global, digital, sound, open source, programmable money was monetizing from absolute zero?" - Allen32

“Wittgenstein’s Money” is a beautiful piece of writing.https://allenfarrington.medium.com/wittgensteins-money-7cac8d0635cfImagine if all respectable business knowledge had been derived from studying large, established companies because there had never been a start-up in living memory. If a start-up then came along, people might well say, “that’s not a business because it doesn’t make a profit,” or, “that’s not a business because it doesn’t have a defined business plan.” Clearly, this would be ill-advised…https://open.spotify.com/episode/1eVvYlfTRG7zGjkZW8klIE

Yeah - me neither. Pretty sure my little Nuc setup cost me only a $100 more than all the parts required to build an Rasp Pi node. It’s been really stable & solid. It also houses the HDD and has an onboard GPU meaning I don’t need to Telnet into the box.The RPi is a really cool piece of kit for creating bespoke smart devices but not ideal for creating a personal bank IMO.
