Hello all! I am a Vertebrate Paleontologist and the Peontology Program Manager for the North Dakota Geological Survey. My interests are varied and include #dinosaurs , Eocene/Oligocene #mammals , #mosasaurs , and #taphonomy. I am one of the lead researchers working on Dakota the #dinomummy along with @uglyfossils . In the summers I oversee one of the largest Public Fossil Dig programs in the country. Follow me for pics of my two dufus coonhounds.

@TetZoo Here is the new Thescelosaurus artwork from my SVP talk by Christopher DiPiazza. Not sure if he is on Mastodon, but I really love this one.

@TetZoo Morris (1976: p. 98) mentions small osteoderns found adjacent to cervicals 1-4 in referred specimen LACM 33543. I am told by others that have seen the specimen (I have not) that they appear to be washed in crocodylian osteoderms. None of the other articulated specimens (e.g., MOR 979, NCSM 15728) show any signs of osteoderms.

@DominicLindus My wife @m_householder made one of these for a new rodent species we named in the spring (Paradjidaumo patriciae). They are so cute!
