My 10 yo son shot his 1st deer this past weekend! We enjoyed grilled tenderloin for dinner Sunday night. Then Wednesday night was his favorite, venison spaghetti 🍝

Deer hunting 2023 update: My daughter shot her first deer on opening day of gun deer season! She spotted him to our right long before I could pick him out through the brush. The spike made its way out in front of our stand at about 40 yards and she made a great shot with the 20 ga. and dropped him in his tracks. That makes 1 doe from my son, 1 buck from my daughter and 0 deer for the old man so far. Maybe I'll still get out once or twice before the end of deer season.
