It’s bumming me out that national news orgs are just reporting that #nokings events across #minnesota were canceled and not really reporting the rallies that still happened. So here’s an article about our St. Paul March and rally where thousands turned out to express our dissent and our grief. We won’t be intimidated. https://sahanjournal.com/democracy-politics/minnesota-capitol-no-kings-rally-draws-thousands/

@futurebird @geoffduncan @moira I haven’t lived in New York State since 1986, and I’ve never lived in NYC, but I still felt kind of agitated when I read your post.

@futurebird Yes! Taking clothes to the tailor is so worth it. Items that sort of fit turn into clothes that look like they were made for you.

@futurebird One of the best books I read this year! It has given me so much to ponder. I might listen to the audiobook to reread it in a different way.

@feznander @futurebird Yes. This wasn’t a protest. This was a bunch of people who showed up to be witnesses at an ICE (or CBP) kidnapping attempt. They do it in hopes that their presence will be a deterrent, but if it isn’t, they record what happens so there will be evidence. Sometimes the evidence helps family members know what happened to their loved ones, but in situations like this one, it also counters the lies coming from 47’s regime.
