I admit my view on social media has gone through quite a transformation these past few months. I always felt Birdsite was a heap of whatever that was, always scraping and aggressively self-promoting in an effort to be heard, drop rooms, etc. I feel Mastodon's structure let's you lift others into the light. It's been really easy for me, and much more satisfying and important.
