@Shatter242 @mattblaze I don't, in general, like the idea of blocking a whole instance. Doing too much of it will likely be the end of the Fediverse.Blocking a whole instance should be reserved for instances which by policy or (in)action are abhorrent. Please be selective.

@tilvids As long as the instances are corporate and host primarily employees, this could be fine.This would allow users to block the entire instance as if they felt appropriate. However, if they evolved into a public instance, they could cause problems.Unpopular opinion: Mastodon is less resilient with large instances. I recommend that mastodon.social, etc. be broken up. Small is beautiful!

@fsf My general response is: why stop with software?The FSF was and is wrong claiming that software is somehow unique. The idea was suspect 40 years ago and untenable today.Parents are a disaster, and not just for software.

@somcak Can we reconsider the awful bumpy ramps in the curb cuts which are trip hazard themselves?The only value I can imagine for them is in icy conditions, which is NOT everywhere.
