Said goodbye to my old friend, teacher, and fighter today.I love you guy, you little feral asshole.He was the hard case at my door, years ago, fighting the other kitties. The four years under my care was such a significant turnaround.From rude-boi to sleepy old lap cat.I don't lose them gracefully. But with all the personal investment into getting this guy to be healthy, happy, and at home.It's striking me horribly.I'll see you all in a couple days. My eyes hurt..Well, a little rainy today. But thankfully chores and the garden calls. A day of exhausting distractions.I think Fluffers knows, the other two keep looking where he sits, wondering..I feel like an old fool, being this sad. But, there's no family here to mourn anymore. Seems they became the family in my heart..

The broccoli cuts, and skibidi toilets will never really know what they missed out on..Was kinda hoping to see a new wave of this stuff before I die of old age, in whatever form it would take.But, I'm not so sure anymore..[1989, up on Mount Hood during the summer festival season. You know, I could probably use a bit more #Pride I guess this is an appeal of sorts. Somehow here, I need to reconnect with my/our community.At lot of what happens these days, just gets to be processed alone, and to be honest it's really wrecking my mental health anymore.[Apes strong together - or something like that :monkeydance: ]The bars, the clubs - I think mostly that time has past for me, it always feels so terribly cliche. Not really against it, it just does little for me these days. it's the day-to-day life..I need them 'neighborhood queers', lol.I need to find folks again, that actually have first hand experience with being queer, being older, being Oregonian, fuck - Being American. :blobcatscared: It really is just not the same as even a year ago. A year ago I could just say I'm generally unliked by the locals. Now, I feel inherently unsafe, and unconnected.(The cats really do try to help, but usually by the fourth or so word of my rantings, it's over)I need to get back in touch with community action, supports, staying informed about important events/actions. Hell, maybe somewhere to sit my garden-hat and help for a spell.I'm pretty remote from PDX, Salem, and always there's a price to pay for that. But right now, even a few more people online that can relate is better than nothing.

@stux I look at Target, and just laugh uncomfortably now.One of the very best examples of Corporate cowardness I've seen in recent times.Now, banking on the red, white, and blue for them white nationalist dollars.I give em less than five years before they join the hallowed halls of Kmart and Sears..
