@animeirl I learned rapping because I used to rap with my coworkers when I worked minimum wage kitchen jobs lol and I listen to rap everyday so it’s in my mind, but now we have chatgpt too so it could help. Although with music you gotta be passionate about it or else it’s probably gonna suck. Idk how into music you are, I like my beats and rhymes lol

@animeirl nice, you can try FL studio, just play around with it, I promise you will have fun once you learn the basics. It feels good to create things. @animeirl It’s never too late to learn new things or go back into creation, don’t doubt yourself because you have a girl voice or whatever, there’s so much cool things to do these days with all the tech we have. The internet is oversaturated with content so do it for yourself, don’t worry about making something designed to catch on, well unless that’s specifically what you want but that sounds stressful lol. Some of my greatest feelings were after learning a new skill or creating something, I know if you do you will not care about your voice or face in that moment. It sucks to start out because making new habits kind of hurts your brain in a way, like reprogramming, well you know that but I’m telling you anyways 😂 Go get FL studio or a daw and play around

@animeirl Yes I have 3, I love plasmas because the pixels are little gas tubes and they have a cool glow to them, I just enjoy them. Although my biggest ones draw over 500 watts

@animeirl Wow thx I thought you were going to roast me for it 😂 I’m not a programmer like most fediverse people, I’m a construction/trades worker that happens to like electronics so most of my boomer coworkers think I’m some sort of super hacker 😂 As for the displays and most of my peripherals, I usually get things from the thrift store. We have a thrift store here that sells items by weight, and heavy items top out at 3 dollars, so TVs and monitors are usually 3 dollars. 69 cent a lb for electronic items, 39 cents for non electronic wares. and you rifle through big dumpster bins. That plasma was a few dollars. The TV behind it is a 4k 120hz lcd that was 3 dollars and was “broken” but just needed replacement backlights so I put in new ones, new lights were 32 dollars. But i never use it, I like the plasmas more. I have a zillion mechanical keyboards that cost about a dollar each from that place too. Just a big mishmash of stuff that I get used and clean up or fix mostly, that’s how I like to live, makes things fun

@Cocoa @mischievoustomato @animeirl The Panasonic Vieras are good but a lot on the market now are degraded if they were used heavily, so the picture won’t be as vibrant if you are unlucky. One of mine is like that, but the other two are beautiful. I have 2 LG OLEDs also, they are sharper and crisper but I still enjoy the glow of the plasmas and use them much more.

@Cocoa @mischievoustomato @animeirl OLED is a game changer if you care about black levels. I hate backlight bleed from LCDs so much. Yes the LG OLEDs are really good. If you buy used, be sure to check what HDMI version the inputs have. My old LG OLED can physically do 4k at 120hz, but is limited to 60hz due to the hdmi it uses. My newer one supports full 120hz 4k over hdmi. Alienware is selling an OLED computer monitor now actually, you might want to look into that since it is designed to be a monitor, although I’ve never seen one in person.
