@catvalente I haven't watched CNN since shortly after Biden's inauguration...but before that they always had the NYT's Maggie Haberman (TFG-sympathiser) on their morning show non-stop and they gave TFG so much air-time before and during his presidency.Remember that Zucker was friends with TFG from his days at NBC and The Apprentice, and it showed!Now I can only assume it is much, much worse....

I left work at 3.30pm today and went straight home. Did my laundry for the week, cleaned the house, cooked and ate dinner, did the dishes...It's cold and wet tonight...nothing on TV...it is 6.30pm. Is it too early to go to bed..? 🤔

@lowqualityfacts I work for a University and I have emailed them to ask them to clarify their social media policy in the wake of the politicisation and security risks of using platforms owned by billionaires.They didn't respond, so I have now embedded my request in a document that will go to all the Deans of Research across the University asking for a clear directive from senior management.I'm just a half-time, casual worker, but I am doing my bit...

@blacklight I don't eat a lot of meat, heck, I don't even use a heater in winter, but when we can stop private jets and new fossil fuel mining, I am happy to do my part and give up meat entirely...

Tail end of my time as a volunteer in PNG, came back to Australia to unemployment, got a job, a friend died, got a better job, another friend died, a cruise across the Pacific, up to Alaska, left job, travelled - a bit in Australia, then US, Iceland, Norway, UK, worked in a dead end job, my mum died, COVID struck, left job, travelled again - tent for 4.5 months due to lockdowns and border closures, came back home to recover, another dead end job, a slightly better job, a family reunion.Goodbye forties...

@Timi I knew Biden would be good, I also knew he'd be the only candidate who had any chance of beating Trump in 2020.I made a bet with a friend that he would be the Democratic nominee and become President before the clock stuck midnight on 31 Dec 2019.Even from Australia I could see Biden was the only answer (even though I loved some other candidates). Thank goodness for Jim Clyburn's endorsement and the impact this had on voters.

@strypey I'm Australian and prefer to pay in cash, because I would rather my purchases are private (for example, I don't want them to reject my health insurance claim in the future because they know how often I go to the bottleshop or local fish and chip shop) and I find I manage my money better this way.I did change to card payments during covid as many requested no cash handling to keep staff safer.However, the other day, a shop asked me to pay in cash...and I could tell immediately they were paying all their staff in cash, under the table. That made me feel a bit little conflicted, but I did it anyway.

I have washed, dried and put away a week of dishes, taken out my rubbish and recycling (a month of it!), met a friend for coffee who restored my sanity, done my weekly shopping and suffered my weekly penance watching Insiders.I am now on my couch, watching Netflix, drinking cheap wine ($6 bottle) and eating cheap chips...Hope you've all had a good day too!
