Astronomy is probably one of the best things you can learn for getting chicks. What could possibly be more enchanting to a girl than pointing up at the stars and showing her which is which? What could be more captivating than bringing the rich tapestry of the night sky to life with your knowledge of Græco-Roman myth, supplemented with lots of arcane charts and tables of celestial phenomena? And what could be more romantic than when you come back in for cocoa inside, wrapped up in blankets and enjoying the warmth of the fire and each other's company? You don't even need perfectly dark skies or a telescope—even in a suburban environment you can see a lot more than you might think once your eyes have acclimated, just avoid direct light and you're good. Seriously, just study an almanac for a bit, take the girl you fancy outdoors (show her the Big Dipper or Jupiter from indoors first to rev up her curiosity if you think she'll be scared of the dark) and go from there. You cannot possibly screw this up.
