@samor Ich finde, es gibt gute Beispiele: die "einseitigen" Accounts, die hauptsächlich nur posten aber wenig interagieren, also versuchen #birdside zu kopieren.Andererseits gibt es klasse Accounts, mit denen wirklich Interaktion statt findet, z.B. @tuxedocomputers , obwohl sie natürlich von einer Firma sind und nicht frei von kommerziellen Interessen.Und wenn ich über Linux-Rechner mit einer Firma reden kann, ist das toll.

@tuxedocomputers @samor ...und ihr glaubt nicht, was für einen Hype ihr damit ausgelöst habt, ein #Convertible mit Stift raus bringen zu wollen. 😉 Ich finde es halt super, dass es eine Interaktion ist, und die Fragen und Toots auch von Euch beantwortet werden.Wichtig ist auch, dass Ihr nicht verbirgt, wer Ihr seid. Das ist Authentisch und wenn man kommerziell ist, ist halt Transparenz wichtig.

When you do NOT publish your #android #app in the Play Store (e.g. #gadgetbridge, #fdroidapp , #imagepipe), is there a good reason to increase the #targetSdk ?Does it matter at all?The last sdk updates mainly impose restrictions without much benefit for developers and make development harder.Why upgrade targetSdk when you can completely ignore G***le's rules about minimum targetSdk?What are your thoughts?

#telegram seems to be fucked up completely.I want to move my phone number to a new SIM, but since 2 days I do not receive any #sms and also do not receive the #telegram #call with the #token needed.Yes, I have triple-checked, that the number is correct, Ialso am logged in with approx. 4 other devices, and yes, no code arrived there, too.AND I have tried with two different phone numbers / #sims .AND yes, phone numbers #german , and I really own the #sims physically (not fake ones).

@fdroidorg Just for reasons... things I do on a rainy weekend... Since I already updated the targetSdk to 33 for #TinyWeatherForecastGermany and the #FeinstaubWidget, I am currently updating #imagepipe to also target the #sdk 33.Just wondering if I should go straight for sdk version 34, but not sure #fdroid already supports it.Usually, I feel more safe to stay 1-2 versions behind the latest #sdk available.

@neil pointed me to this: https://developer.android.com/developer-verificationThis will make alternative app stores like #fdroid mostly useless on #android devices with a stock rom, since most apps won't install at all, unless also available through the play store.Being the dev of the #floss #apps #TinyWeatherForecastGermany and #imagepipe, it is unlikely that the apps will be available for devices running a stock rom in the future, since I likely won't share my private keys with G****e nor will I give them a copy of my ID.

@neil To make it clear: obeying to the rules imposed by G****e for developer ids opens the doors for countless misuse scenarios and threats, including the handover of the developer's data (including their private app signing keys and a copy of their ID) to US authorities.As they will have your private keys and your ID, they can make any change to your app, breaking any thrust model.
