@tob @maxkennerly and this is exactly why twitter is doomed. He fired/pushed all the staff who understood the system and because he is stiffing them, he has 0 trust with anyone he might want to hire. Not that many competent people would want too. Car crash captivating.

@rms this, carbon capture and geo engineering all seem like a fig leaf to avoid real substantial changes.

@rms this makes almost 0 sense from a practical engineering point of view. It does make a lot of sense if you are space X and you need to grow your company and the global launch market is currently tiny. It matches Starlink and point-to-point travel, both stupid ideas but they expanded the launch market and that's the real goal here.

@rms I don't think labour voters will switch to Tory, if anything another party like the Greens or stay home.

@EU_Commission this is great! They are still too expensive and cars and planes are still too cheap but it's a good start.

@futurebird it would be great if the undecided and non voters in America could just vote against trump so they don't cancel this season of law and order. It's been captivating.

@futurebird the obvious garbage is funny the subtle wrong is terrifying and we are flooding the web with it. Going to have start looking at publishing dates and being very careful with anything after 2023.

@bryan @lostgen @davidho I've used Octave, for basic stuff it's okay but the last time I looked it was significantly behind Matlab, specifically on it's class implementations. With Python being so popular now I doubt many people bother contributing much anymore.

@aral the biggest gap between critics and audience is 'The Boondock Saints' @ 26% critic to 91% audience until now that is.
