@gbhnews @mrvapor Mastodon is literally a direct replacement/competitor to Twitter.Why would things be different here? And why on Earth do you need your news sources to "interact" with you before you take them seriously?There are 8 billion people on the planet, news sources have to be ready to interact with each and every person?

@saiv46 @gbhnews @mrvapor Thanks for the RSS link, though I'm very familiar with RSS and even wrote my own client once in PHP. That said, it's a complete non sequitur, and misses the actual point of the conversation. People standing up and making bold claims about what Mastodon is and isn't, is the real issue. The platform is brand new. We'll defines it organically, and one loud ass telling people they don't belong here isn't going to define much.

@Raspberry_Pi @TobyRobertsPi I'm a raspberry pi user who doesn't give a shit one way or the other about Toby.However, I do give a shit how @Raspberry_Pi exists and exhibits itself in the world. I do hope someone on RPi's management team steps in to stop whomever is running their social media account before they do irreparable damage.

@bettybowers So, umm, maybe this is a stupid question, but isn't that illegal?I thought PPP loans were specifically to fund companies that lost income due to gov. policies on COVID. I know these fuckers break the law all the time, but usually theirs a thin veil over it to cover their ass.
