Mixing more fat for the birds. About a kilo of oats with 500g of melted, but not hot, lard. A wide variety of birds love it. Use less oats if you want to fill something with it or make balls. You can also add seeds

@KatyElphinstone I had a wonderful conversation with a young autistic man in a cafe yesterday who, seeing we did not want to sit on settees to eat lunch, offered to swap his conventional table with us so we could be more comfortable. He then went right across a huge room, fetched his carer, and we swapped. I queued with him then and we had a lovely conversation. I will not forget his kindness

@futurebird bees do, sometimes groups of them hang out in the roof and occasionally you find a lot apparently just hanging out in an empty hive. They pretend they are house hunting but really they are just chilling
