Football star Tom Brady and rap legend Snoop Dogg will appear in a big-money Superbowl ad denouncing hatred. The ad is paid for by the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, a group staffed by Israel lobbyists that attempts to equate opposition to Israel’s destruction of Gaza with anti-Jewish racism. The group was founded by billionaire owner of the New England Patriots, Robert Kraft, who is one of the pro-Israel Lobby’s most generous benefactors. Kraft has used his power to attempt to crush the nationwide Palestine solidarity movement on campus and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement. #propaganda #politicshttps://scheerpost.com/2025/02/07/tom-brady-snoop-dogg-super-bowl-ad-isnt-what-you-think-heres-whos-behind-it/

clearly unethical; the US = us citizens. do we get to fly in tthe "palace" in the sky?n what may be the most valuable gift ever extended to the United States from a foreign government, the Trump administration is preparing to accept a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar -- a gift that is to be available for use by President Donald Trump as the new Air Force One until shortly before he leaves office, at which time ownership of the plane will be transferred to the Trump presidential library foundation, sources familiar with the proposed arrangement told ABC Newshttps://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=121680511

Recall the NYT and #projectmockingbird. #justsayin___________________But the Times’s struggle against even the appearance of bias vanishes when the subject is Israel and the Palestinians. The organization called Writers Against the War on Gaza recently released a “dossier” which listed “high-ranking editors, journalists and executive officers at the Times” who the group alleges have “material and ideological ties to occupation and apartheid.”Most obvious are Times reporters who have personal or family connections to Israel’s military. The dossier cites Natan Odenheimer, who actually served in the army’s “Maglan” special forces commando unit for almost 4 years. Interestingly, Odenheimer’s own summary of his experience on the Times website completely leaves out this portion of his biography. He tells us: “I’ve reported on Israelis and Palestinians for over a decade, and my work has also taken me to Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and other locations.” But somehow his military experience didn’t make the cut. #msm #israel #gazagenocidehttps://mondoweiss.net/2025/07/a-new-dossier-reveals-extensive-pro-israel-bias-among-reporters-editors-and-executives-at-the-nytimes/

Reports that TikTok will transfer an 80 percent stake in its U.S. operations to Oracle, Silver Lake, and Andreessen Horowitz are celebrated in Washington as a strategic victory over China, where its parent company is based. But a closer examination of the deal reveals a different winner: the foreign government of Israel and its lobby in the United States.Though the first campaign to ban TikTok originated in concerns of Chinese manipulation and data theft, that effort ultimately fizzled out after TikTok agreed to hand over all user data to a U.S.-based contractor through their program Project Texas. But TikTok wasn’t out of the danger zone just yet.As Mike Gallagher—a former U.S. congressman and author of the revived and successful effort to ban TikTok—wrote in November 2023, the reason the U.S. needed to ban the most popular app among Gen Z was not because the algorithm caused young Americans to support China but because it caused them “to support Hamas.” #tiktok #israel #propagandamachinehttps://www.theamericanconservative.com/how-israel-captured-tiktok/

As the founding myth has it, the city of Rome was established by a man named Romulus, one of two orphaned twin brothers raised by a she-wolf on the banks of the Tiber river. The legend of Romulus and Remus, which involves the former’s fratricidal slaying of the latter, lends itself to striking imagery, though it also gives forth more questions than answers. “The Latin for wolf, lupa, also means prostitute,” for example, “so was it actually a prostitute who came to the rescue?” So asks historian Mary Beard in Rome: Empire Without Limit, a four-part series you can watch in its entirety above. #rome #marybeard #historyhttps://www.openculture.com/2025/09/empire-without-limit-watch-mary-beards-tv-series-on-ancient-rome.html

Why?Ali Al-Ansari, the Media Attaché appointed to the Qatari Embassy in Washington, D.C., wanted to make clear that the facility is not a base but a “dedicated facility within an existing U.S. air base.”Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday announced during a press conference to address the finalization of a peace deal between Israel and Hamas that the U.S. would start construction on a facility for the Qatari Air Force to train in Idaho. #yourtaxdollarsatwork #qatar #peacepresident #foreverwarshttps://www.newsweek.com/qatari-air-force-facility-update-official-clarifies-status-and-plans-10865937

We’ll get to the merits of Kavanaugh’s point later. What really jumped out at me was how he phrased it. The court’s conservative justices speak often about protecting “liberty” or “individual liberty” when referring to the president’s removal power and Congress’s constrains on it. In their view, it is essential for individual liberty that the president is able to fire any top-level federal official for any reason, or even for none at all.Kavanaugh articulated something a little different on Monday by adding “billion-dollar industries” there. As the oral arguments made clear, the Supreme Court is about to bless an unholy union between presidential corruption and corporate power under the premise that it is actually upholding constitutional principles. #trump #supremecourthttps://newrepublic.com/article/204156/trump-slaughter-victory-oligarchy-predators

Blurting out a swear word when things get tough often brings a sense of relief. Research now suggests it may do more than ease frustration. A study published by the American Psychological Association indicates that swearing can improve physical performance, helping people push harder during tasks that test strength and endurance. The effect appears to come from reducing mental restraints that normally limit how much effort people give.“In many situations, people hold themselves back – consciously or unconsciously – from using their full strength,” said study author Richard Stephens, PhD, of Keele University in the U.K. “Swearing is an easily available way to help yourself feel focused, confident and less distracted, and ‘go for it’ a little more.” #swearing #healthhttps://scitechdaily.com/swearing-might-give-you-a-real-strength-boost/

The federal government will stop paying physicians based on the number of patients they vaccinate, and is urging state health agencies to stop using similar financial incentives. In a Dec. 30, 2025, memo to state health officials, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) said it “does not tie payment to performance on immunization quality measures in Medicaid and CHIP at the federal level.”Under the new policies, CMS will no longer require states to report how many children are vaccinated, but states may continue to voluntarily provide the data.CMS stated it will explore options to more strongly encourage informed consent before vaccination and “will also explore how religious exemptions for vaccinations can be accounted for in the data and the subsequent measures.” #vaccinations https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/doctors-will-no-longer-receive-financial-rewards-vaccinating-kids-cms/

Last month, Trump cheered a military assault by U.S. forces that captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and brought them to the U.S. to face charges related to cocaine trafficking. Maduro, Trump said, led a “vicious cartel” that “flooded our nation with lethal poison responsible for the deaths of countless Americans.”But when it comes to former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, who was tried and convicted in the U.S. in 2024 and sentenced to 45 years in prison for taking bribes and allowing traffickers to export more than 400 tons of cocaine to the U.S., Trump has taken a decidedly softer tone.Hernández, he said, has been “treated very harshly and unfairly” — so unfairly that on Dec. 1, Trump pardoned the former president after he served less than four of those 45 years. #drugtrafficking#hypocrisyhttps://www.propublica.org/article/trump-ice-pardon-juan-orlando-hernandez-honduras-prison-special-treatment
