       @AlexanderKingsbury If people wouldn't have paid for it to begin with, it likely means the service / product is not good enough or the company makes people upset, like YouTube...Last time i checked, Wikipedia, Linux, Vulkan, all ad-free and thriving, proving one needs no ads if they offer good quality product / service. I personally pay for services that have no ads to begin with.Also, most Minecraft launchers don't have ads. The screenshot is from a Minecraft launcher. Further proving ads are not necessary. Ima use PrismLauncher which has no ads.

       @strypey So you are saying it's like buying vegan products from non-vegan companies?Mmh... I think that is not the case, because the browser itself uses this feature + crypto. It's not about some employees from Brave that have certain opinions; they are getting green light to implement it in the product itself. So it'd be like them adding milk powder to something that was vegan.
