@art you'll have to pay more than the price for a DVD AND they throw tons of mandatory advertising at you. --- whats the point of going to the movies again ?! #adblocker

@Gargron oh! so this is an instance thing then ? i thought this is a global mastodon problem. So each instance can choose their own providers , huh ? well... get well quick and thanks for the updates, now that i know who to watch/follow ;)

@art watch out for which PCIe Slots you use for your gfx card. if there are two, only one may be powered via the card edge connector. the other might require external (separat cable) power to your gfx card.

@art @tilvids having a hard time understanding why there is a need for a weird "fake" display plug. since you run linux it should'nt be a problem emulating any number of displays (frame buffers) in software and have them integrated into your display manager, isnt it ? then transfer contents forth and back like from/to any x-server and life should be good. what am i missing here ?

@davidrevoy nice. So many artists hold on to Adobe 's crap and let them enslave them for no reason really. According to your work it's obvious, that open source software is very capable, if one has the talent. 🌟

@hackernews After first excitement i calmed down real quick. This is way to early to use by "a normal user". Using veroboard traces are usually CUT ON A HOLE (with a drill bit) and NOT between two holes. Plus the whole build and compile thing here is way too much for a plain "user" . I don't see this as "usable" just yet. But it can be one day, with some more love put into it. #veroboard #electronics #linux #opensource

@nixCraft in reality the WHOLE world is running on #LINUX these days, while only two rather small fractions left are using #windows and #macos . Anything important already runs #Linux since decades. Those small fractions are mostly for kids toys and hobbyist artists.
