@anders Love your post. I do the same with embedded queries. Taking a page from @curtismchale and BuJo, I create collection or “tag note” pages that are tied to specific subjects. I then have an embedded query in them. Key to making this work is the Query Control plugin, which fully renders markdown in searches. It’s not officially approved (never has been), but was recently updated for the latest version of #ObsidianMD. It makes all the difference.

@anders Query Control exposes/enables additional embedded query configurations that are handy, as well. Still waiting for @kepano to pull a Santa and have this feature built into #ObsidianMD natively 😁. That' also the intent of NothingIsLost, the developer — the plugin is a pitch for the feature. https://github.com/nothingislost/obsidian-query-control

Just wanted to pop in and say how much I love #mastodon, the #fediverse, #activitypub and all the great things arising out of the social media dumpster fire of late. Love seeing the re-wilding of the internet, the rise of blogging and RSS again, people posting things they’re interested in versus trying to take advantage of some algorithm… Looking forward to seeing where this is all going in 2024 and doing my best to help along the way.

@simon The thing with all this is that websites across the internet literally provide a standardized, well-structured JSON API format in their source code that explicitly describes the content, authors, images, videos, keywords, data types and text for use by SEO bots. It’s a red carpet. Pretty sure Open AI has used a third party “scraper” that hovers this info as one of its sources. They did for GPT-3.
