@sun It's alright, it's part of the nature of these more independent websites. It was actually Internet trauma that led to me finding this place, Vincent Canfield has been getting targeted by the government over cock.li and his Fediverse account is on this instance. It's good to be back, definitely glad I don't have to go shopping for instances anymore

@sun I pray for the day that we abolish the appdata folder and every program just uses a portable format. Too much software just throws all of their random bullshit in there and it's a pain to sort through it all when it's hiding something that you actually need

@nerthos There has actually been a push to make our infrastructure better accommodate nature and especially animals in order to protect the environment. Things like requiring building projects to minimize the amount of water runoff they create by limiting the amount of absorbent soil they cover with cement and asphalt, or creating bridges and pathways across roads to allow migrating animals to pass. There's a lot of interesting things on the horizon in the world of architecture and infrastructurehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mYpQWPtfpo

@nerthos Ah, I'm not sure if we even have the knowledge to build that kind of venerable architecture anymore
