The removal of some tether that had moored me, and kept me from enjoying life.Its something we all have as kids. We slowly lose it. Forgetting what it felt like.Anyway, had heard his name over the years (approx 40yrs old), but never knew anything about Internet Aristocrat / Metokur etc until CoViD, and man what a good time that turned out to be. Rode the Jim train during that, and discovered some of his earlier stuff, realized he was the same dude I remembered hearing back during GG etc. Prolly read something he wrote during SA as well (I think he was there?)Is there a crypto wallet or something similiar for Jade (his wife? I remember he got dox'd etc so I dunno how fucked a topic this type of thing is) we can dump stuff into? Not rich, but can easily set up 20-50/mo for, well . . . ever. Lol. And even a few hundred people doing that would be nice. Is that needed? Or already set up somewhere?Anyway, shit sucks. But goddamn did he take it like a fucking man. And that you almost never risk your life for anything.This is a generational distinction. Growing up we would do shit like drive through red lights with the gas floored and our eyes closed for a dollar and some clout. And that was by far from the worst of what we did, solely for kicks.One of the things I struggle with the most, is how to introduce risk tolerance to "kids" or people in general.How do you get someone that is generally risk adverse to accept high amounts of pain and likely death with almost no chance of a reward?Having nothing to live for does not equate to having something to die for.
