@leo Same here, early 90's...The node was running with dial-in on an ISDN line, so two connects at the same time.

@EU_Commission COP28, totally useless to attend, unless you are a Fossil fuels lobbyist or CEO...

@internetarchive Yep, also from the links I put on my websites quite a few are now broken. I've tried to update, but there still will be broken links.

@internetarchive Did you already make sure that all the data you gathered is save in a datacenter outside of the US of A...?

@internetarchive @brewsterkahle Does the IA already have all the data secured in an EU based facility? Or Island, Canada, a secure place outside of the US of A?

@hetzner Well, the stories I got were all people where it happened out of the blue.

@stux Good luck!Hope it goes smootly.Only experience with servers with TransIP in The Netherlands, and Strato in Germany. The first very good, but probably some more cost. The latter I've been for shared hosting for over 10 years, but current packages are not as complete as the old packages, though mostly it's a give and take. But, based on stories with Hetzner they are not on my option list for anything.

@stux Certainly in favour, but it's a more expensive construction which might well make it financially unviable.

@finlaydag33k @mikrotik Didn't start looking yet, but one wish for this year is a separate accesspoint for IoT applications and then a separate network for cameras too.So, will have a look at this one.For the home network there are two older routers in IP-sharing mode as repeaters, also for a few old POTS phones on the VoIP.

@finlaydag33k It would be a VLAN indeed, but I will need a WLAN access point as at least a lot of it is wireless. And as it is from the front of the home to in the garage behind it it will probably have to be two access points.Where possible it's all wired.@mikrotik
