The Land Protection Act of Prince Edward Island (PEI) is the outcome of several decades of discussion and debate about land ownership and use on the island. The Act was a response to a unique combination of social, economic, and geographical factors, which made the issue of land ownership particularly important in PEI.In the 1960s and 70s, concerns began to rise about the consolidation of farm land into fewer hands and the purchase of land by non-residents, particularly for recreational and retirement properties. These trends were seen as threatening the viability of small-scale farming and the character of rural communities. In 1972, the provincial government appointed a Royal Commission on the Land, led by Horace Carver, a local lawyer and farmer. The commission was tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of land ownership and use in the province. It held public hearings across the province and solicited written submissions from the public. In its report, the commission highlighted several concerns, including the concentration of land ownership, the loss of farmland to non-farm uses, and the impact of non-resident ownership on rural communities. It recommended a number of measures to address these issues, including the introduction of land ownership limits. The Land Protection Act was introduced in 1982 and has been amended several times since then. The Act is administered by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC), an independent quasi-judicial body that is responsible for overseeing land transactions and ensuring compliance with the Act.The introduction of the Act and its subsequent amendments involved considerable public consultation and debate. The Act has generally been supported by the public, although it has also been controversial at times, particularly in relation to the restrictions on non-resident ownership. It's important to note that the Land Protection Act is a provincial law, reflecting the constitutional division of powers in Canada, which assigns responsibility for property and civil rights to the provinces.

Grey Bruce Update: Bruce Strategic PlanThrough you honourable warden Peabody, Regarding the Strategic Plan presented during Executive Council ( https://pub-brucecounty.escribemeetings.com/Players/ISIStandAlonePlayer.aspx?Id=c2046075-2a83-45ce-b384-f47c9df63090 )Want to provide some insights and somewhat more detailed look and long term planning possibilities as requested by Coucillor Charbonneau, Councillor Hammell and others during the meeting. First I wish to note it may be a bit humorous to call 4 years "long-term" as in Grey County we have a 25 year planning horizon, because things like houses and properties boundaries are for families that likely will live there long term (It takes 25 years for a human baby to grow an adult brain and body) and it makes sense to make the plans compatible with the long term trends in energy, mineral and population such as the Limits to Growth study of the Club of Rome ( my interview with member Ugo Bardi here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rJaX101SJ0 ) that affect both the world and the county, and so it is good to keep those in mind to avoid using too many resources on things that may be obsolete in a decade or two. Solar panels can be a good investment if we can at least refurbish them locally, they need resoldering with silver every 20 years or so, which can drastically improve long term EROI. Nuclear waste can be put into a thermoelectric pyramids, to generate appreciable quantities of electricity for thousands of years, best to put it on higher ground in case of lake water level changes. Councillor Charbonneau made a good point about needing a plan for agriculture and housing. It is wonderful to see such passion and love for the citizens of Bruce County in helping to have a good plan. Research of the effects of density on mammals including humans indicate that high density leads to poor outcomes ( https://lyis.ca/pfet/density-problems.pdf ) So I generally promote looking at rural housing options. As a potential rural housing program can look for potential inspiration to help young people become farmers through the homestead farmer program. Though this is a client side document by reading between the lines can understand what planning changes may be required https://lyis.ca/pfet/farmer.html . To summarize potential planning changes would be to promote or at least allow sustainable family farm size lots of 10-20 acres, at the very least in rural zoned areas. Also to be lenient with requirement for housing, allowing for residents to camp on site as part of indigenous traditional lifestyle reconciliation, increasing adaptive capacity. To balance this with roadside visuals can require an offset of at least 30-50 meters away from the road, and some shrubbery or fencing or other facade, to lower any eyesore which may result to people driving by or neighbours, which is a tactic successfully employed in Prince Edward County, minimizing complaints. Such roadside hedges also reduce wind erosion, and lower opportunity for drive by crime by having a thorny barrier. Research indicates that communities of roughly 50-60 individuals give ideal economies of scale. Many of our Anabaptist residents such as the Amish tend to keep them at this level, as they meet at a different congregation members house every Sunday, though they may be sub groups of a neighbourhood as well. This allows them to have a sense of community numbering in the hundreds even though their houses may not be co-located. In terms of indigenous reconciliation, I do weekly attend the M'Wikiwedong indigenous friendship centre in Owen Sound, where there are indigenous people from both Bruce and Grey Counties. One element of reconciliation we discussed yesterday was the potential for bringing back food producing plants, trees and shrubs to the area which were clear cut and herbicided into oblivion by the European settlers, such as American Hazelnuts, which were historically important food source for the Ojibwe, Pottawatomi of this area. Though it is notable that elder members of the indigenous community were often aware of over 200 native plants and their various edible and medicinal uses. From a planning perspective, this can be facilitated by encouraging the creation of more fruit and nut growing orchards and permaculture food forests. Such as the already quite successful Keyzer Farm near Paisley, if you'd like to visit a family hazelnut orchard in Bruce County. They have community cherry, and plum and other fruit picking likely starting in July. Councillor Hammell wanted more information on Climate Change, While it s broad topic, one pertinent aspect is that it is important to acknowledge the direct relationship between tree cover and rainfall. The Fertile Crescent used to be covered in forests, with rainfall from the Mediteranean to the Red Sea, because large plants like trees shade the soil, and retain water for long periods of time, and then evaporate that water through respiration, which forms clouds and rains down on the next patch of land and so on. After clear cutting the area however, and being forced to use salty ground water it has now turned into mostly a salty desert. The same pattern happened in the bread basket of Rome, or northern Africa, which is now overtaken by the Sahara. And the same pattern is happening in Italy, Spain, and the prairies. We've had a somewhat dry spring, and planting more deciduous trees, such as at least via orchards, can help with spring rainfall, and increase resiliency to if it does happen. Our trees and shrubs are beautiful in Grey and Bruce counties, they've had an excellent spring. Gratitude helps us to have more of that which is already in the present moment. Being grateful is like nourishing a seed of your experience, and helping it to grow, into a beautiful, loving, co-creative experience. As Jesus says "Ask and Ye Shall Receive" (Matt 7:7). Of course one of the most crucial aspects of long term strategy, is growing in love and kindness for self and other. Since only by opening and re-opening our hearts to love, no matter the challenges, can we use wisdom in a way that actually benefits the majority, and not only ourselves. As our spiritual benefactor the Confederation of Planets says:L/L 2022/0918 These steps that you take are informed by love and by light and in a balanced manner, so that the power of the combination of love and light may be able to manifest in your own life journey as the ability to make the choices of service to others, that are the fundamental nature of your journey. ...Such manifestation of service may be large or it may be simple. But even the simplest acts of service may contain the infinite power of the One Creator. We ask you seekers who wish to find a crystallized balance between love, wisdom, and power to contemplate the potential of the Creator in any given moment, and how that potential may be tapped. even with the lightest touch to bring about the greatest transformation. ...You are all a portion of the One Infinite Creator, and this is what you are here to do: to be of service to the one that you see in each entity around you, in each portion of the creation around you. For the entire creation is alive, and the Creator breathes its breath of life in all places. So look you there within and without to find that which is your goal in life, to serve that one who is in all. ( https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/2022/0918 )May you be blessed,

Subject: Leadership and the SexesHi Barbara Dobreen and other leading ladies of Grey and Bruce County,I haven't been in local politics long, but I've noticed that while some women succeed quite gracefully in leadership roles, others seem to take a hard turn and don't get re-elected. I wish to see you all succeed so I wanted to share a book you may find of interest, called "Leadership and the Sexes" by Michael Gurian and Barbara Annis. It speaks about the neurobiology of gender differences, and optimal leadership styles to take best advantage of them."Barbara and her team were able to help IBM recognize that one of the things that mattered most was underlying brain differences between women and men. Women ’ s ways of being, working, and leading were not understood or valued at IBM. Women did not feel needed."For instance, men in the company would see a woman negotiating differently and perceive that the woman lacked negotiation skills."Women, on the other hand, would see men pushing to get a decision without talking about the context and valuing women ’ s opinions, and they would conclude that the men were dismissing their input."A constant stream of misinterpretations, based on differences in how men and women perceive and act in the workplace, were a core problem, and IBM decided to deal with it head-on. The company ran a series of workshops to transform the mind-set of their managers. Men and women came to see brain - based gender differences not as a hindrance or something to be accommodated, but as an advantage the team could use.""Through this process — which began as a two - year training program —the misconceptions and assumptions that had been driving men and women apart were gradually removed. Over the two - year period, turnover of women professionals in sales was greatly reduced. Not only did this work address the problem of retaining female talent, but it was also great for the company ’ s reputation. IBM was recognized in Working Mother maga zine and received a number of accolades and awards. Most important, IBM ’ s focus on creating a woman - friendly environment helped them make money."While there are many amazing aspects to the book, for me what still resonates years after reading it, is the main difference in leadership styles. Men have a lot of grey matter in their brains, and women have a lot of white matter. So Men tend to get stuck on various ideas and pursue them doggedly, wheras Women are able to hear a wide variety of inputs and come up with a cohesive middle ground that works for the majority. This is also aided by the fact that female brains have a larger cingulate gyrus, allowing women to be much better at keeping track of the emotional state of the other people in the room. The issues in leadership I've seen typically stem from when people with female brains attempt to lead in a masculine away, it often doesn't work as well, since they are not playing to their strengths. But when people with female brains do work with their strengths, they make for powerful leaders that benefit multitudes. Indeed the book mentions that organizations with more than 5,000 members are best led by females, as they are able to manage the wide variety of inputs and stake holders, wheras a male leader make have too narrow a focus due to how they are wired.I do apologize if as a male brained individual I "can't read the room", and am prone to repeating myself and the best ideas I can find oscillating in my head, it's unfortunately/fortunately the best I can do.Really the female way of leading is very powerful, as many stake holders and providers of input are invested, and "get something out of it", which helps to strengthen the leadership role.I've attached a copy of the book to this email just in case, though certainly you can get your own in whatever format you prefer.Once again the title is "Leadership and the Sexes: Using gender science to create success in business" by Michael Gurian with Barbara Annis. From a more spiritual perspective it is similar I think to the soft vshard heart dichotomy, in that having a warm, soft, supple andcompassionate heart seems to go hand in hand with playing to onesstrengths, especially for female leadership styles, as they are sointeractive. Or as the Confederation of Planets states:L/L 2020/01/18 "Thus, entities who wish to reform the patriarchal situation that may be predominantly of a male nature but also contain those of the female gender as well, are attempting at this time to enhance the type of expression that is more matriarchal, that which is feminine, that which awaits the reaching, that which does not have the temptation or the desire or the ability to be aggressive."The awaiting the reaching is that which is comforting, that which is cooperative, that which is generative of the expression of love that accepts all that are within the realm of influence and nurtures each within that realm of influence."Thus, the matriarchal type of expression of energies, is that which is seeing the entire picture, the, shall we say, grander view, the overview, and is patiently awaiting the discovery of each entity within the illusion, be the entity biological male or female, that the old ways of patriarchy have served their purpose and have, perhaps, been in dominance overlong, needing to be balanced by the nurturing nature of the feminine principle that awaits the reaching." https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/2020/0118May you be blessed,

Grey Bruce Update: Roads and the Light BringerThrough you honourable warden Milne,Happy Birthday warden, and another wonderful council meeting hosted with levity and joy. Quite happy with the many roads presentations which showed great consultation with constituents, helping to make the county more loving by supporting our churches and more sustainable as roundabouts are certainly a good investment for the medium to long term. The West Ontario Warden's Caucus was also quite inspiring, and am feeling I can finally get some slides in order and start doing a round robin of delegations amongst the rural counties. As it will help us if more counties are aware of the long term trends and options to prepare and flow with them. This will help make a buffer between us and the major metropolises which if hard hearted trends continue will follow the classic bandit, famine, plague formula we see through all history. Thorny border shrubs can lower bandits, perennial food producing trees lowers famine, and sustainable lot sizes lowers plague. Maintaining wellness in the now and future through compassionate and wise policies. As we are in this period of June with Father's Day, the Warden's Birthday and the Solstice, it is good to remember the Promethean imagery in the stars, where Orion holds the sun as a torch on the longest day of the year. Symbolically bringing light to the world. 📷 In the various groups of seekers discussing the Confederation of Planets material we have been exploring this theme. The Confederation considers the light bringer to be an archetype which each of us embodies whenever we bring new information to an area. In the tarot it is the archetypal card of the devil or lucifer, because to those receiving the new information it appears as a falsehood, something they were not formerly privy to, and it may disrupt some plans they had with their former ideas. Or as the Confederation says:L/L 2001/09/23: "It is not that the Creator intends to deceive. It is not that the light means to be false. It is that there is so much of untold riches to the infinite Creator that It is not all articulated. There is much still for the Creator to know about Itself. And yet that seeking is a slow, slow process. For all that the Creator finds out about Itself, It finds out from you, each of you, each of us, each of all of those entities that live and move and have their being within the creation of the Father."We find great beauty in this pattern. We do not understand it completely. As each of you works with your own spiritual journey we ask simply that you not fear the light-bringer who brings seeming destruction. For there must be that taken down as a preparation for that which is builded anew. There needs to be the removal of false concepts before the building of a fresh and vital concept." ( L/L https://llresearch.org/channeling/2001/0923 )So my friends when next you have a tidy piece of information to share with someone, do so with love in your heart, and be compassionate to any hardness which may arise. With loving kindness and a soft a touch we can all learn and grow together. Respecting if they are not yet ready to receive, and ever feeling for where the winds of spirit may blow next for opportunities to be of service.May you be blessed

Subject: C10-C18 The Canadian Gag & HousingThrough you honourable speaker Rota, Recently Facebook has been showing how effective censorship bill C10 and C18 is at putting the last nails in the coffin of traditional Canadian media and news journalism. The billion plus dollars given to CBC and it's lesser Canadian cousins has gone from a subsidy to life support for a comatose patient unable to communicate. Maybe a few boomers who can afford cable television, but certainly not young Canadians who like food.To look on the bright side, it is somewhat of a levelling of the playing field. No more will Canadians read news articles, but only will they receive information through the opinions of their friends and through funny memes on social media to distract from their growling belly. An Iron Curtain or perhaps a maple one, leaving Canadians in a deep shade, with no knowledge of what happens in the outside world, or within the country. And no one will know what happens in Canada either. A fog of censorship even Newfies may be impressed by. It does beg the question though, if we've effectively "cancelled" Canadian content from the internet, what now? No more will Canadians be aware of elections, or politicians, or even of Canada. Now those who want to read the news are using VPN's and pretending to be from the US or UK. I guess Canada has decided to place itself in the dustbins of history, if indeed history books are allowed to write about it. Copyright is the original tool of censorship and oppression of the poor used by governments, but this time it's being used to obliterate itself. I don't know what kind of self-hate may have brought this on. Though it could be an outgrowth of "cancel culture" and passive-aggressiveness that Canadians are infamous for. The only conceivable solution is forgiveness, compassion and unconditional love for self and other. There are many options of course, it could be quietly rescinded. If the government has too much pride for that, it could be starved of any enforcement funding, and then at least the fog will not grow to encompass Twitter and other platforms. Though yeah could leave it as it is, and start the funeral music for Canada, eventually people will forget it ever existed, except in paper documents from the before times. We may see regional governments attempt to fill the void, as at least local radio is affordable for most, if they too are not regulated into oblivion. It really reminds one of the books "Collapse of Complex Societies" where societies on the brink of collapse historically have tried to make things more complicated to stem the bleeding, but end up actually making things worse, as it is the complexity that is causing it in the first place. If we simply let people have enough land to grow their own food and firewood, such as through a Land Protection Act that cracks down on land hoarders and redistributes it to people that actually need it. Then people will naturally make more local content, as they will be able to talk to their neighbours, produce locally, engage in arts and crafts, going to church etc.Well perhaps the Federal government is powerless to do anything other than fill crony pockets at this time, and give a few dollars for the poor. But such measures likely wont be able to quell the masses for long. Conventional oil is running out, and with it the ability to use tractors and deliver food to grocery stores. 📷 Why is the Canadian government focusing on painting the bike shed, instead of making sure Canadians are fed for the long term through sustainable human rights policies, like the right to land to grow one's food and firewood? What's the point of importing millions of immigrants, if they are doomed to homelessness, crime to meet their needs, and drugs as an attempt to escape the urban hell holes? It's really irresponsible to be importing people for a life of suffering, possibly cut short with a knife on the subway. Surely at least some of them can and would like to grow their own food and firewood, they need to at least be given the opportunity. It does of course make sense to prioritize citizens when it comes to long term land ownership. But immigrants should at least be able to rent or lease sustainable sized chunks of land at an affordable rate, pending their citizenship when they can own it outright or however it is to be structured.90 year mortgages are a circus, at the current rate of hardheartedness Canada as a nation simply wont last that long. Indeed thanks to Bill C10-C18 people may forget about Canada's existence long before then, even while parliament continues to sit, passing bills for the recycling bin worker to have something to do. I'm really at a loss as to why it is soo much more important to protect land hoarders, and government cronies, than the majority of the millions of people that live in Canada. But I guess you can keep on painting the shed while the nation expires if that's what you want to do. I guess the left wing parties don't want people to be self sufficient as they might vote conservative, and the conservatives don't want to be kind because the cruellest elements of our society will be very angry about it. The far-right motto on twitter seems to be "work hard and hate the poor/minorities" which often leads to self hate, as they themselves are struggling to get by. Wheras the far left motto is "trust the government and hate the rich", which often leads to an endless cycle of poverty. Unfortunately neither populist movement has any compassionate ideas on how to improve living conditions, because hate is self-harm, since we are all one people, one planet, one being. We have more than enough land in Canada for every Canadian citizen, and even resident. It simply is being hoarded excessively, and there needs to be something to reduce the hoarding, to make more of the land available on the free market. While Doug Ford made a valiant effort with his high density suburbs, those are unfortunately inhumane living conditions from a long-term perspective, as they can't possibly grow their own food and firewood there. Canadian politicians could benefit from calming down, that by relying on God/Allah/Gitche-Manitou/Source/Infinite-Creator one can rest in the faith that all is well and all will be well. To let go of any desire to dominate or be enslaved, instead recognizing the spark of the divine within themselves and their spouses, family, friends, and colleagues/cronies, and then extending that up to the heart recognizing everyone has the spark of the divine within them, and deserve love and respect of their free will. And on that note the Confederation of Planets helpfully states:L/L 2023/05/28 You open your heart with love and accept both that quality in yourself and that person, so that the enemy no longer is an enemy. That you see them as a portion of yourself as One Infinite Creator that has made all that there is, that it might learn from itself and by itself and through your actions. Thusly do you serve the One Creator, your enemy, and yourself. ( L/L https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/2023/0528 )May you be blessed,

Email to Owen Sound City Council and StaffSubject: Shocking Tree AbuseHi Owen Sound Council and Staff,I've recently been informed that more mayhem and destruction is being wrought on behalf of the city of Owen Sound, including clear cutting of trees that are essential to stabilizing our shoreline. Trees which are dying from wasteland eco-system devoid of wild flowers and lack of woodpeckers, that is allowing things like emerald ash borer to run rampant. How long will this abuse of our trees and local eco-systems continue? At this rate we're likely to see massive shoreside erosion due to this mismanagement, and since we aren't dredging anymore to avoid the toxic sediment, the harbour will just fill in. New trees with vigorous root systems are needed promptly to fill in the void left behind this thoughtless destruction, such as willows and alder or seabuckthorn. We also need to move away from wasteland desert style ecosystems of useless ornamentals and grass to ones that can maintain enough beneficial insects and birds to keep pests in check. Upside down bird feeders and a few wood pecker boxes can vastly improve the survivability of the trees. And there is no reason we have to mow absolutely everything and leave no room for nature or wild flowers that attract beneficial insects. I'm really shocked at this blatant abuse of our local ecosystem, that is leading to the destabilization of our shoreline, and threatening our infrastructural stability. I hope you get well soon. As it is really tragic to see.I'm certainly willing to help if you want. I can even donate some willows. But yeah I just needed to get this off my chest, as it's sad to see Owen Sound destroying itself like this. And people were expressing sentiment on social media as if there was nothing else that could be done about it. Which is something that is highly inaccurate, and needed to be corrected. Of course I forgive you all unconditionally. I have to assume you just tragically didn't know any better. We can have a much healthier and more beautiful shoreline, if council is willing to simply forgive nature and work with it, instead of against it. Ra-contact/040:I am Ra. The fourth density is one of revealed information. Selves are not hidden to self or other-selves. The imbalances or distortions which are of a destructive nature show, therefore, in more obvious ways, the vehicle of the mind/body/spirit complex thus acting as a teaching resource for self-revelation. These illnesses such as cancer are correspondingly very amenable to self-healing once the mechanism of the destructive influence has been grasped by the individual. ( https://www.lawofone.info/s/40 )May you learn to be kind to yourselves and your environment. May you be blessed.

As Distributism advocates for a fair and equitable distribution of property and economic power, it is crucial to organize its movement in a way that mirrors these values. Adopting the Holacracy Constitution within a Distributist Party can help achieve this alignment.Holacracy is a decentralized management system that assigns authority and decision-making through a holarchy of self-organizing teams rather than being held by a management hierarchy. This organizational method echoes distributist principles in various ways:1. **Decentralized Decision-Making**: Similar to distributism's emphasis on local control and autonomous decision-making, Holacracy empowers each team or circle to make decisions relevant to their roles and functions. This nurtures a culture of empowerment, individual initiative, and personal responsibility - core elements of the distributist vision.2. **Fair Distribution of Power**: Just as distributism argues for a widespread ownership of property and means of production, Holacracy ensures power is distributed throughout the organization. No single person holds ultimate power, but rather, it is dispersed across various roles within self-governing circles.3. **Transparency**: Holacracy advocates for complete transparency in the decision-making process, reflecting distributism’s call for justice and fairness in economic affairs. This transparency extends to salaries, strategic decisions, and even the constitution of the organization itself, which is available to every member.4. **Dynamic Roles**: In a Holacracy, roles are defined around the work, not people, and are updated regularly through a dynamic process. This fluid structure promotes adaptability and innovation, attributes that are crucial for a distributist party as it seeks to transform society's economic structures.5. **Purpose-Driven**: Both Holacracy and Distributism are deeply purpose-driven. In distributism, the purpose is to promote an equitable society with widespread property ownership. In Holacracy, each circle and role has a clear purpose that guides their work and decisions.Adopting the Holacracy constitution can foster a strong internal culture within a Distributist Party that embodies its principles. This can reinforce the party's credibility and authenticity, attracting supporters who believe in its cause, and promoting the effectiveness and resilience of the party in achieving its mission. Ultimately, the use of Holacracy within a Distributist Party can serve as a living example of its commitment to decentralization, cooperative governance, transparency, and fair power distribution, thus inspiring broader societal change.
