@IsobelLynn Physically it's fine, but psychologically it would be excruciating. Bifurcation is a real thing (and a fun word) in chaos theory where the system's state of predictability splits at a certain point in time. If it does this enough it becomes completely unpredictable. The universe is chaotic so travelling too far too fast puts you in a random timeline. Traveling back to your timeline just adds more uncertainty. This photo shows how a population becomes more uncertain over time.

@shaman I love this, but I have to admit, I'm a little confused. Shouldn't the areas in red, which appear to be at higher elevations, have a weaker gravitational field than areas closer to earth's center? Also the poles should automatically have slightly stronger gravity since the earth's radius is shorter by about 20 km compared to the equator. I'm going off the formula g=GMe/R^2.I'm not trying to troll, but I did have questions.

@shaman And on a slightly different note, did y'all read how they measured this map?! Two satellites in orbit around earth, when one passes over an area of greater than usual gravity (from like 1000 miles away) it speeds up slightly. The observed change between the two satellites measures the change in gravity, but that's a change of less than 1/10 of the width of a human hair! The change in position is measured with microwave beams between the two satellites. Crazy!

@lowqualityfacts I had a friend who had an on and off relationship with his higher mental facilities and passionately claimed that there were no such things as straight lines. He'd say that a "straight line" was a portion of a circle with an infinitely long radius. To be fair, he's not wrong.

Yeesh! It looks like I pissed off a den of nazis lurking around here. Getting a small bombardment of some seriously messed up shit. I'm tempted to return the vitriol in kind, by why argue with intellectual toddlers? Now, I'm just wishing them luck in dealing with their insecurity issues, conveying my hopes that they find their way out of hate and blocking them and their instances one-by-one.
