the headline about so many people leaving fedi after the initial surge has been kicking around in my brain[blah blah blah insert unoriginal discussion]idk about the articles, but i'm genuinely wondering if those numbers factored in account migrations or abandoned alts. or whether or not they actually considered forwarded (redirecting) accounts as live (the tags still exist and profiles can still be browsed too)because if it didn't then that's an incompetent oversight

@fcktheworld587 yep! the invisible hand at its finestthere was one company that built a strip mall in the areaonly two small busnises took storefronts to the point where the whole trip mall was closed and they were displacedsat abandoned for five years until a national bank chain bought a parcel in perfectly in the middle of the parking lot and built a freestanding buildingthe mall has been torn down but the rest of the parkinglot is still weathering away

@fcktheworld587 they set aside an entire block in downtown for tech companies with a fancy custom sign and everythingit's been completely vacant for what I would guess 10 years and is exclusively used as overflow parking for events nearby

Most importantly you DO NOT scale this with difficulty or higher time sensitive inputs. Coyote time is meant to provide leeway between both your player's own reaction time and their hardware's reaction time NOT an attribute of the input urgency itself!!! Any urgency needs to be accounted for in the main time window, not the extra coyote time window.#gameDesign #accessibility
