@Agent_404 @DK_Dharmaraj a cursory search suggest patriot pac-3 and pac-4 missiles can shoot at least 130,000 feet, and I’m quite sure air to air missiles can also do this when launched from a fighter at ~60,000ft. Easier with a fighter unless the ballon happens to fly over a SAM site, which are probably actually somewhat sparse inside CONUS.Usually an air to air missile is fired from a moving jet, at another moving target. So the speed and maneuverability of both matter. Missiles also bleed a lot of energy at low altitude due to denser air.Most fighter jets can officially fly something like 60,000 ft, but I’m quite certain they can get up to 80,000 if not 100,000 with full afterburner and a light weapons load.Which is all to say no, we wouldn’t need to use an anti-satellite missile.

The true unemployment rate is around 25%. Economic growth is severely depressed. If it makes you feel better, at about 35% unemployment everybody in Germany said “fuck it, let’s give mustache man a shot”. That’s actually the number we *briefly* hit during Covid in 2020. If we had a major recession, we could easily hit 35% true-unemployment and stay there.

@Doll @Bad_Banner the PSAK G3’s are apparently pretty decent and only like $699. Used to be that USA made AKs were considered garbage but I hear good things about PSA.I prefer to standardize on the smallest number of platforms/calibers possible, but gotta admit AKs are pretty cool and 30cal slaps. 77’s are good out of an AR but it’s just not the same :_catsad:
