       @futurebird @goatyAs an older man with kids (daughters only) I think you're right. I know men who didn't want their sons to play with kitchen toys. As for myself, I have worried at times about not raising my daughters "right" (when it comes to things like social anxiety, confidence, money management, etc). As a parent it's difficult to not pass your own neuroses on to your children. And that is messed up.

       @futurebird @alienghic Same. It has dawned on me over the last couple of days that I'm in a bit of a self made bubble. I'm surprised the election wasn't closer. I'm surprised the turnout was low. I guess I don't consume the same media that many other people do. The problem is, I like my bubble. I'll try to extend it in small ways, but Joe Rogan is a remote bridge on the other side of the world, and an ugly, stupid one at that. There's no way I'm going that far.
